As I write this, it is snowing again and I am quickly beginning to realize how fast the holidays are approaching! If you are anything like me, you hem and haw over what to get those special people in your life, and ultimately end with a gift card. Get ahead of the busyness that this time of year brings and purchase gift cards through our scrip program to make an impact!
Scrip is a program with gift cards from national and local retailers, the same gift cards that you buy at the store. Participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to our organization at a discount. Supporters like you buy the cards for full face value, then redeem them for full face value, and CRDF keeps the difference to support our programs. You can either give the gift card, or use it for your own holiday shopping, the impact on CRDF is the same.
Ordering gift cards through Scrip has a big impact. For example, if you ordered $25 in gas cards each week, you would earn $52/year in rebates to donate to our efforts in Haiti. Add on cards for your favorite grocery stores and get a head start on your holiday shopping and the impact you can have snowballs!
Getting started is fast, easy, and secure:
- Go to shopwithscrip.com and create your user name and password.
- Send an email to Ashley@caneille.org for the registration code.
- Purchase scrip using either presto-pay or check payment–Scrip Now and Reload Now items purchased with Presto-pay is available electronically within minutes, and plastic cards paid for with Presto-pay and all check purchases are available on our next organization order (orders placed the last Sunday of every month).
Get orders for plastic gift cards for the holidays by Saturday, November 23. The more you order, the larger the rebate CRDF receives.
This month, if you contribute $50 or more to CRDF with your order, we will enter your name in a drawing for a $25 gift card!
Additionally, you can download and print off this Scrip Flyer to hang in your break room at work to spread the word. If you have any questions about the Scrip process, please contact Ashley@caneille.org.
